Temporary Tattoos: A rich history and diverse range

Did you know that the temporary tattoos were first found in chewing gum?

Although it is difficult to determine when printing the first temporary tattoo is believed to have been designed and manufactured since the early 20th century. They were first used as prize gum and, later, in 1890, and good in the 1900s, the temporary tattoos were created and included in boxes of Cracker Jacks ® snacks. Unfortunately, tattoos of the early 20th century were of poor quality and out as soon as you rub or wet. My, have evolved tattoos! But before getting to the quality of temporary tattoos that are available today, we have a few more decades to weed through.

Temporary Tattoos as gifts in connection with snacks or other toys is still the cornerstone of temporary tattoos use for decades. Moreover snacks, TV shows, sports teams and cartoon characters began to use temporary tattoos as promotional tools. For example, not only sports cards include chewing gum, from the 1970s, including many temporary tattoos are considered collector's items today. Smurfs, PeeWee's Playhouse and the Bionic Woman were also card packages that include temporary tattoos, conceived as a means to promote its television shows.

In 1980, the temporary tattoos were created using different ink systems and exotic. 3M has designed and developed a special coating called Micro-Scent ® did scratch-n-sniff technology available. The temporary tattoo industry adopted the zero-n-sniff concept and a few companies released scented tattoos.

Around this time advances in printing ink and screen have also been developed. These advances in the tattoos last longer and more realistic. As tattoos increased quality, so did the demand. People began to see the temporary tattoos as a product that could last and can be used outside inexpensive gifts.

Login was universal in demand and consumption. Today, temporary tattoos are sold everywhere from the machines vending to the departure time retail counters at high-end boutiques.
